Swami Dhananjay Das Kathiababa Mission School is a visionary educational initiative inspired by the spiritual ideals and far-sighted dream of Dr. Brindanbihari Das Kathiababaaji Maharaj, founded with the objective of imparting value-based, modern education to young minds.
The institution began its journey in 1997 at Math Chowmuhani, Agartala (Tripura) with the humble inception of a primary school. Starting from the foundational level, the school catered to students from Toddler to Class V, emphasizing holistic development, discipline, and moral values along with academic excellence. From its early years, the school earned the trust of parents and the local community due to its committed teaching faculty and student-centric environment.
With the steady increase in student strength and growing educational demand, the Management envisioned expanding the institution into a comprehensive centre of learning. To fulfil Babaji’s dream of establishing a full-fledged Higher Secondary CBSE School up to Class XII, a new campus was developed at Patunagar, near the Airport, Agartala. This marked a significant milestone in the school’s growth.
Step by step, the school progressed with determination and planning. Today, the Agartala campus stands as a successful educational project in the state of Tripura, accommodating more than 1500 students in a co-educational environment. The school is equipped with well-established science laboratories, computer labs, conference hall, auditorium, and other modern infrastructural facilities that support academic, cultural, and co-curricular excellence.
Encouraged by its success and guided by Babaji’s larger vision, the Mission expanded its educational outreach beyond Tripura, with plans to establish institutions in Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and other states.
In West Bengal, leveraging the locational advantage beside the Mission Ashram and the holy river Ganges, the school commenced its journey in 2019. Starting once again from the grassroots, the West Bengal unit began with classes from Toddler to Class V, supported by all basic infrastructural facilities necessary for early and primary education. The institution is presently undergoing formal processes for obtaining recognition from the Primary Education Department, Government of West Bengal, with all procedures actively in progress.
Looking ahead, the Management has envisioned the development of a larger Higher Secondary School campus in West Bengal. For this purpose, land has been identified at Bandipur, Hospital Road, Arpatna More, strategically located very close to the Kalyani Expressway. Construction of this proposed Higher Secondary institution is planned to commence in the near future.
